Sharjah Ruler Tours Cultural Sites in Historic Heart of Sharjah

Sharjah: H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, conducted an inspection tour of several cultural projects in the Heart of Sharjah area, focusing on the revitalization and preservation of the region's historical and cultural heritage. According to Emirates News Agency, the Sharjah Ruler visited Bait Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi, also known as "Al Gharbi House". During the visit, he explored the house's library, which contains a rich collection of publications and books available to visitors. This highlights the ruler's commitment to enhancing cultural knowledge and providing educational resources to the public. The tour also included the Qasimia School building, where H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan observed the ongoing restoration efforts. He reviewed the old classrooms and the facilities that were previously utilized by the school's students. The visit also encompassed a review of how educational stages are distributed across the classrooms, ensuring that the historical essence of the building is maintained while it continues to serve educational purposes. Accompanying the Sharjah Ruler were Abdullah Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture, Dr. Abdulaziz Abdulrahman Al Muslim, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, and several other officials. The presence of these key cultural leaders underscores the significance of the projects and the collective effort to document and preserve the history of Sharjah through cultural and heritage activities.
