Beirut: Sheikh Akl of the Unitarian Druze Community, Dr. Sami Abi Al-Muna, on Monday received a phone call from Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros al-Rahi, following the latter's meeting with the Spiritual Summit Follow-up Committee in Diman. During the call, Patriarch Rahi expressed his solidarity with the Druze community and its sons, and commended His Eminence's stances in particular.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the media office of the Druze Unitarian Sheikhdom stated that the call provided an opportunity for consultation between His Eminence and His Beatitude regarding the possibility of holding a spiritual summit. This summit aims to keep pace with current developments, as part of their joint efforts to safeguard civil peace and national unity.
Moreover, Sheikh Abi Al-Muna received further calls, cables, and messages, most notably a call from the Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Hajjar, and Bishop Boulos Matar, among others.
