Stormy Weather to Hit Lebanon as Powerful Cold Front Brings Heavy Rain and Snow

Beirut: Lebanon is set to be affected by a fast-moving and highly active weather system starting Monday evening, according to the Meteorological Department. The cold front, originating from southwest Turkey, will cause a sharp drop in temperatures of 8-10 degrees, accompanied by heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and strong winds reaching up to 70 km/h, with sea waves rising to three meters.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Tuesday will be marked by severe weather, including the risk of flash floods, particularly in northern areas, hailstorms, and snowfall starting at 1,700 meters and dropping to 1,400 meters by afternoon. Conditions are expected to gradually improve from Wednesday morning.
