Sultaniyah: The Sultaniyah power station, operated by the Electricity of Lebanon Corporation, was hit by Israeli aircraft, causing extensive power outages across more than 60 villages in southern Lebanon. The attack involved two missiles and occurred the day before yesterday, leading to the station becoming non-operational.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, their correspondent visited the site and observed the serious damage inflicted on the facility. The station had been a critical source of electricity for numerous villages in the Bint Jbeil district, as well as several villages and towns in the Marjeyoun and Tyre districts, stretching from Marwahin in the west to Mays al-Jabal in the east. The loss of power has intensified the challenges faced by residents in these areas.
The correspondent also toured several affected villages, including Al-Shahabiya, Jouyaa, Wadi Jilo, Al-Bazouriya, Al-Burj Al-Shamali, Kafr Dounin, Bir Al-Salasil, and Al-Sultaniya. In these locations, he documented significant damage to residential buildings, gas stations, and shops, along with considerable harm to road infrastructure.
