Cairo: Syrian Foreign Minister, Bassam Sabbagh, engaged in discussions with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdel Ati, focusing on the latest developments in the northern regions of Syria, particularly in the Aleppo and Idlib governorates. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the dialogue between the two ministers took place over a phone call on Friday. Abdel Ati was briefed by Sabbagh on the unfolding situation in Aleppo and Idlib, as detailed in a statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The conversation highlighted the ongoing concerns over the stability of these regions. Minister Abdel Ati conveyed his apprehensions regarding the current trajectory of events. He reiterated Egypt's support for the Syrian state and its national institutions, emphasizing the necessity of Syria's role in fostering stability, combating terrorism, and ensuring the sovereignty, stability, independence, and territorial integrity of the state.
