TAQANA Energy Solutions Launched at ICAD to Advance Energy Solutions, Industrial Growth.

Abu Dhabi: Arab Development Establishment (ADE) and Schneider Electric have jointly launched a new manufacturing facility, TAQANA Energy Solutions, in Abu Dhabi's Industrial City (ICAD). The inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent figures including Omar Al Suwaidi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, and other key dignitaries. According to Emirates News Agency, the establishment of this facility is a significant step towards achieving the objectives of the UAE's 'Make it in the Emirates' initiative and the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy (ADIS). These initiatives aim to enhance the industrial sector's contribution to the nation's economy, targeting a sector size of AED178 billion by 2031 and the creation of over 13,000 skilled jobs. The facility is also aligned with efforts to strengthen trade relations with global markets. Omar Al Suwaidi highlighted the importance of public-private partnerships in advancing the UAE's industrial goals, emphasizing how such collaborati ons contribute to the nation's status as a competitive industrial hub. The UAE-France Business Council, under which this project was developed, plays a crucial role in promoting sustainable economic development through business partnerships in priority sectors. Yousef Mohamed Al Nowais, Chairman and Managing Director of Arab Development Establishment, expressed pride in supporting the UAE's industrial sector and advancing sustainable energy solutions in collaboration with Schneider Electric. He acknowledged the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology's efforts in empowering local industries, as well as ADNOC's support in enhancing their competitiveness. The facility will manufacture advanced energy solutions that support the UAE's industrial growth. It underscores TAQANA's commitment to enhancing in-country value and developing local talent through training and knowledge transfer programs. This initiative aims to position the UAE as a regional and global industrial hub. Amel Chadli of Schneider Electr ic remarked on the facility's role in engineering sustainable energy solutions, which is crucial for addressing global sustainability demands. The project represents Schneider Electric's commitment to supporting the UAE's rapid manufacturing sector transformation. Mohammed Ali Al Kamali of ADIO noted that the factory's inauguration is pivotal for advancing Abu Dhabi's industrial capabilities, aligning with the emirate's strategic goals of becoming a competitive and sustainable industrial hub. TAQANA's integration of advanced technologies and creation of high-skilled jobs contribute significantly to Abu Dhabi's vision of a resilient and diversified economy.
