Telecom Minister Launches Fiber Project in Sidon During South Tour

Sidon: Telecommunications Minister, Charles Hajj, on Wednesday toured telecommunications facilities in Sidon, reaffirming the state's commitment to restoring essential services and supporting reconstruction in southern Lebanon.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Hajj announced the signing of Sidon's FTTH fiber-optic network project, emphasizing that high-speed internet would bolster education, business, and investment in the region. He mentioned that similar projects would be extended to Nabatieh and Tyre, indicating a broader plan for development in the south.

Hajj outlined plans to restore and upgrade mobile services through Ogero, Touch, and Alfa, highlighting the importance of rebuilding the telecommunications sector as a critical component of Lebanon's overall recovery strategy. These initiatives are part of a concerted effort to enhance connectivity and support the region's economic growth.
