The Minister of Foreign Affairs receives a copy of the credentials of the non-resident Ethiopian Ambassador and calls for the opening of an Embassy for his country in Baghdad

Baghdad Minister of Foreign Affairs Fouad Hussein received a copy of the credentials of Hassan Tajo Legas, the non-resident Ambassador of Ethiopia in Baghdad, and the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.

The Minister expressed Baghdad’s interest in strengthening communication between officials of the two countries and opening channels for bilateral cooperation, calling for continuing work to raise the levels of coordination and consultation at all levels, wishing to the Ambassador success in his work in Baghdad, expressing the readiness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide all services to the Ethiopian diplomatic mission to achieve the common interests between the two countries.

He expressed the Ministry’s aspiration for Ethiopia to open a permanent Embassy in Baghdad; because of its positive impact on the development of bilateral relations.
