KUWAIT: The third season of the 'Young Ambassador' program has been launched in Kuwait, spearheaded by the office of the UN Coordinator, and the Canadian and UK Embassies, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The initiative aims to equip young individuals with vital diplomatic skills under the theme "sustainable security and peace," a response to current regional events. According to Kuwait News Agency, the program was announced by Ghada Al-Taher, the UN Secretary General Representative and Resident Coordinator in Kuwait. Al-Taher emphasized the importance of the program's theme, which aligns with the 16th UN Sustainable Development Goal and Secretary General Antonio Guterres' vision of youth involvement in decision-making. The program is designed to empower young people by providing them with skills to address future challenges effectively. Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organizations Minister Plenipotentiary Mohammad Alameeri highlighted the significance of the progr am's theme for Kuwaiti youth. Alameeri stressed that these young ambassadors will play a crucial role in their country's future, learning essential diplomatic skills that contribute to Kuwait's renaissance. The Foreign Ministry, alongside the UN and embassies, is committed to participating in this initiative. The program will engage 40 male and female students over a six-month period, offering weekly sessions and various activities focused on diplomacy.
