Three Real Madrid players were arrested over a sex video with a minor

The Spanish police announced the arrest of three players from the Spanish Real Madrid Youth Football Academy, without mentioning names, on charges of publishing a sexual video clip showing a minor.

A local police spokesman confirmed that the three players, aged between 21 and 22, were arrested at Real Madrid’s training grounds following a complaint filed in the Spanish Canary Islands earlier this month.

He added, “They were arrested on suspicion of publishing a video clip containing sexual content for a minor.”

The spokesman said that the police interrogated a fourth player from the Real Madrid Youth Academy about the incident, without clarifying whether charges would also be brought against him.

For its part, the Capital Club stated in a statement that it was aware that a player from the reserve team “Castilla” and three players from the third team “made statements to the Civil Guard in connection with a complaint regarding the alleged allegations.” A private video was circulated via the WhatsApp application.

He added, “When the club has detailed knowledge of the facts, it will take appropriate measures.”

In the same context, El Confidencial, the online newspaper that uncovered the scandal, citing sources from the investigation, said that the main target of the investigation is one of the third-team players who allegedly filmed himself having sex with a 16-year-old minor.

The report stated that the other players posted the video without the minor’s consent via the WhatsApp application
