Tripoli Chamber of Commerce and BIAT Celebrate the Launch of the Agri-Agro 360 Project

Tripoli: The Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture of Tripoli and the North (CCIAT), in collaboration with the Business Incubation Association in Tripoli (BIAT), has launched the Agri-Agro 360 Project, designed to support small and medium enterprises, startups, farmers, cooperatives, entrepreneurs, youth, and innovators in the field of agricultural technology.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, this initiative addresses the challenges facing the agriculture and agri-food sectors in a rapidly evolving world. It aims to bridge agricultural traditions with modern innovation, empowering entrepreneurs to sustain their projects.

The project is set to provide tailored technical and administrative support to agricultural initiatives, enhancing resilience and growth potential. It seeks to contribute to the sector's development in Akkar and Northern Lebanon, impacting the Lebanese economy positively.

The launch event took place in the Tripoli Chamber's grand hall, attended by parliamentary, ministerial, diplomatic, economic, and union figures, as well as mayors, businesspeople, and a large audience of interested attendees.

The ceremony began with the Lebanese national anthem, followed by welcoming remarks from media host Joe Farchakh. Chamber President Toufic Dabboussi expressed his enthusiasm for the Agri-Agro 360 Program, highlighting its importance for Lebanon's economic growth and sustainable development.

Dabboussi noted that the program represents a synergy of vision and capabilities, offering comprehensive support from training to marketing and export. He emphasized the need for trust, support, and smart investment in the Lebanese agricultural sector to thrive.

Nasri Mouawad, Chairman of BIAT, highlighted agriculture's declining contribution to Lebanon's GDP, underscoring the program's role in supporting local talent and regional economies.

The event included a presentation by Chamber Director General Ms. Linda Sultan, outlining the project's benefits and registration details. A panel discussion followed, addressing challenges in the agricultural and agri-food sectors, featuring industry experts and moderated by Joe Farchakh.

The second session showcased success stories and new scientific agricultural approaches, featuring distinguished speakers like Dr. Antoine Daccache, Engineer Charbel Abou Jaoudeh, Ms. Sarah Harb, and Dr. Charbel Tawk.
