Beirut: US President Donald Trump called for an end to any further attacks inside Lebanon.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, in a post on Truth Social, Trump said, "There should not have been an attack this morning in the southern suburbs of Beirut," adding, "There should be no further Israeli attacks anywhere in Lebanon." He emphasized the need for restraint from all involved parties, stating, "There should be no attacks from any other party, including Hezbollah, against Israel."
Trump further highlighted the progress being made towards a peace agreement, which he believes will bring stability to the region. He mentioned, "We are very close to an agreement that will bring peace to the region," and noted that "the peace agreement will include Lebanon, and all parties must de-escalate."
