Trump Threatens Further Military Aggression Against Iran

Beirut: US President Donald Trump said the United States carried out airstrikes targeting missile and drone storage sites, as well as coastal radar facilities in Iran, while warning of further military aggression if what he described as "ceasefire violations" continue. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, in a post on Truth Social, Trump said there "may come a time" when Washington is forced to "complete the mission militarily," adding that the operation had already begun with what he called significant success. Trump further claimed that if escalation continues, Iran "will cease to exist," intensifying rhetoric amid rising regional tensions. His remarks came alongside statements from US Central Command (CENTCOM), which announced that it carried out additional airstrikes against Iranian military infrastructure in southern Iran, saying the operation was conducted in response to what Washington described as an Iranian attack on an oil tanker. According to CENTCOM, the aggression targeted military sur veillance infrastructure, communications systems, air defense sites, drone storage facilities, and naval mine-laying capabilities. The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) announced in the early hours of Sunday that its naval forces and Aerospace Force carried out a joint missile and drone operation targeting eight major US military facilities. The IRGC accused the United States of violating previous understandings and said Washington had attacked five Iranian coastal sites under the pretext of responding to maritime incidents involving the Strait of Hormuz. It stressed that responsibility for organizing navigation in the strait falls under Iranian jurisdiction, according to what it described as the Islamabad memorandum. The statement warned that any future attacks by the United States, regardless of justification or scale, would be met with a "much harsher" response. It also said any breach of ceasefire arrangements would be considered a violation of the first clause of the Islamabad memorandum, adding th at such violations would trigger a full halt of existing commitments.
