Beirut: Turkey has announced a significant donation aimed at improving the living conditions of displaced individuals in southern Lebanon. The Turkish Embassy in Lebanon revealed that it will be donating 36 bathing and toilet units to be used in schools that are currently hosting people displaced due to recent Israeli aggression. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, these much-needed sanitation units are expected to arrive at the Port of Beirut aboard the Ak Deniz ship tomorrow morning. The donation underscores Turkey's commitment to supporting Lebanon during these challenging times. A formal ceremony and press conference are scheduled to take place at 11:30 am, where the Turkish Ambassador will officially hand over the sanitation units to key Lebanese officials. The units will be received by Environment Minister Nasser Yassin, National Disaster and Crisis Management Committee Coordinator, and Bassam al-Nablsi, who serves as the Secretary-General of the High Relief Committee. Provided by Turkey's D isaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), each unit is designed to serve up to six people, thereby addressing the urgent sanitation needs of displaced individuals residing in these temporary shelters.
