Turkiye Launches Air Strikes on PKK Targets Following Ankara Attack

Ankara: Turkiye's military has intensified its offensive against the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), launching air strikes on approximately 59 targets across northern Syria and Iraq. This action comes in direct response to an attack on the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) facility that resulted in the deaths of five individuals and injuries to 22 others. According to Kuwait News Agency, the Turkish defense ministry confirmed that the strikes were conducted with precision, targeting 29 locations in Iraq and 18 in Syria. The military's swift retaliation follows a violent incident at the TUSAS base, where two assailants opened fire, leading to the casualties. The defense ministry's statement emphasized the accuracy of the strikes in dismantling PKK positions in the region.
