UAE Closes Its Embassy in Tehran, Withdraws Diplomatic Staff

Abu dhabi: The United Arab Emirates has announced the closure of its embassy in Tehran and the withdrawal of its ambassador along with all members of its diplomatic mission from the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that this decision is a response to what it describes as “blatant Iranian missile attacks” targeting UAE territory. These attacks have been characterized as aggressive actions against civilian sites, including residential areas, airports, ports, and service facilities. The ministry emphasized that these actions endanger civilians and represent a significant and irresponsible escalation, constituting a violation of national sovereignty and breaching international law and the UN Charter.
