Beirut: UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert announced on Thursday via the "X" platform that the Lebanese Armed Forces have confirmed their establishment of field control south of the Litani River.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Hennis-Plasschaert characterized this development as notable progress, while emphasizing that further efforts are necessary. She noted that the milestone reflects the Lebanese authorities' commitment and strengthens the role of the mechanism established under the November 24, 2024, understanding.
