Gaza: The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has reported that more than 376,000 Palestinians returned to the northern Gaza Strip between Monday morning and Tuesday afternoon.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the office highlighted that half of these individuals are men, while a quarter are women and the remaining quarter are children. The OCHA office utilized data from a working group comprising several organizations that established census points throughout the Strip to collect these figures.
The office noted that many among the displaced are vulnerable individuals. "Pregnant or breastfeeding women, the elderly, people with disabilities, people with chronic diseases or those in need of urgent medical care, or unaccompanied minors are among the main vulnerable categories of displaced people who made this difficult journey on foot," the office stated.
