Beirut: United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed his solidarity with the Lebanese people following his meeting with Speaker of the Parliament, Nabih Berri. Guterres highlighted the importance of his visit and reiterated the UN's commitment to supporting Lebanon during this pivotal time in its history.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Guterres conveyed confidence that Lebanon will soon form a government that represents all segments of its population and ensures security for its citizens. He emphasized the ongoing cooperation between UNIFIL and the Lebanese Armed Forces in the south, aiming to facilitate an end to the Israeli presence in accordance with the existing agreement. The goal is for the Lebanese Armed Forces to maintain a presence throughout the entire territory of Lebanon.
