Beirut: UNDP Resident Representative in Lebanon Blerta Aliko and Lebanese Red Cross Secretary-General Georges Kettaneh signed a memorandum of understanding on Friday to strengthen cooperation on disaster risk management and climate resilience in Lebanon.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the MoU builds on years of cooperation and will support efforts to improve community preparedness for emergencies, promote early action, and strengthen coordination in responding to future risks.
The partnership brings together the Lebanese Red Cross's broad presence across local communities with UNDP's work supporting national efforts in disaster risk management and climate change adaptation in Lebanon.
