US amb. to Egypt terms partnership between Egypt, US “excellent”

US Ambassador in Cairo Herro Mustafa Garg said that the coming period will witness more US investments in Egypt, referring to ongoing discussions with Egyptian ministers on the possibility of expanding and increasing US investments in Egypt. This came in Garg's statements to the journalists on Saturday 28/9/2024 on the sidelines of the inauguration of a recently-expanded manufacturing facility of Cairo Food Industries (Kraft Heinz Egypt) in the 6th of October City. Garg termed the partnership between the US and Egypt as 'excellent', adding that 'Kraft Heinz Egypt' has a huge facility in Egypt which is the only one in the Middle East. The company decided to invest additional 50 million dollars in Egypt, she said. 'Kraft Heinz' is keen on achieving sustainable development via having sanitation water treatment stations and dealing with local farmers on means of producing pesticides to make the products qualified to be exported to Europe, she said.
