US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, currently on a visit to Singapore, on Wednesday said the United States neither participated nor knew about the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniya. Blinken, in an interview with the Singapore-based television channel, "News Asia," stressed that Washington had no hand in the assassination of Haniya in Tehran, re-affirming that the US has been pushing for a cease-fire in Gaza. A cease-fire in Gaza is in the best interest of the prisoners AND the Gaza population "who have been caught in Hamas' crossfire." Such a truce is also necessary to avert spillover the violence to other parts of the region, Blinken reiterated. Source: Kuwait News Agency
