Tripoli, US Ambassador and Special Envoy to Libya Richard Norland has said that the US joins the UN Support Mission in Libya in welcoming setting up of a joint force from the frontline, to secure the Man-made River network, considering it an important step toward protecting water resources and boosting national reconciliation.
In a tweet, posted to the Embassy SMS page, the Ambassador said such military cooperation could be a model for unifying the armed forces at a dire time for Libya’s sovereignty and regional stability.’
