Manama: Marwan Fouad Kamal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, met with Mirna Arif, General Manager for Growth Markets in the Middle East and Africa at Microsoft, to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation in youth empowerment and digital capacity building.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting reviewed existing and future areas of cooperation, particularly in supporting the ministry's efforts to advance digital transformation across its services and initiatives, including the development of specialised youth programmes in digital transformation, technical skills, and innovation in line with the requirements of the digital economy and future jobs.
The Undersecretary highlighted the importance of building effective partnerships with leading global technology companies, noting that cooperation with Microsoft supports the ministry's efforts to enhance digital systems, improve service efficiency, utilise artificial intelligence solutions, and invest in national youth capabilities by strengthening their digital readiness.
On her part, Mirna Arif expressed appreciation for the cooperation with the Ministry of Youth Affairs, emphasising Microsoft's interest in expanding the partnership to support the development of the ministry's systems and youth-focused programmes through expertise in technology, artificial intelligence, and future skills.
