Baghdad Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that anyone is elected by the people will be respected by all.
Zarif, who is currently in Turkey to participate in the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, cast his vote in the 13th presidential elections, coinciding with the elections for the 6th session of the municipal and village Islamic councils and the supplementary elections for the Assembly of Experts and the Islamic Consultative Assembly.
In a press statement after casting his vote in today’s elections, Zarif affirmed: “The right to self-determination is one of the most important rights that the Iranian people have obtained through their revolution, and the republican regime is one of the most important achievements of our revolution. And if we feel uncomfortable or if we have a problem or a shortage, I in turn apologize to the people for any shortcomings, and it is necessary for us to have a share in determining our destiny..
Zarif added: Anyone who is elected by the people will be respected by everyone and will also be successful, God willing.
