4.6 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Bardasir County in Southeastern Iran

Beirut: A 4.6-magnitude earthquake struck Bardasir County in Iran's southeastern Kerman Province, with no casualties or material damage reported, according to local authorities.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Kerman Crisis Management Director General Gholamreza Nejad Khaleghi said assessment teams were dispatched immediately after the quake and that field inspections found no damage.

The Iranian Seismological Center stated that the earthquake occurred at 3:46 a.m. local time at a depth of 10 kilometers. The epicenter was located in Bardasir County, approximately 62 kilometers from the city of Kerman.
