Heritage Ministry Winds Up Tourism Promotion Workshops in Indian Market

The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism concluded here today a series of mobile promotional workshops in the Republic of India.

The workshops, which lasted from 24 to 31 July 2023, kicked off in the city of New Delhi and moved to the cities of Jaipur and Calcutta.

As many as 200 establishments and companies took part in the workshop in the city of Bombay.

The workshops saw a large turnout from major tourism firms and Indian media organizations.

Asma Salim Al Hajri, Assistant Director General of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, said that various agreements were signed within the context of the workshops.

The workshops were conducted with the participation of Omani and Indian private sector companies.

By organizing such programmes, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism seeks to explore global markets to attract target segments, highlight key products, study the requirements of those markets, enlighten travel and tourism companies and the media about Omani tourism landmarks and introduce incentives offered by the Omani tourism sector.

Participants in the workshops lauded the ministry’s efforts in upgrading the status of the tourism sector. During the workshops, the participating tourism companies and establishments showcased a variety of services, programmes and incentives made available to visitors. The programme also included a number of meetings aimed at enhancing partnership in tourism fields.
