Education Minister Reda Hegazy said the ministry is keen on promoting the use of modern technology and artificial intelligence in the educational domain and discovering those talented in this score.
He made the remarks during the inauguration of the first workshop on metaverse and AI which is organized by Meta company in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and IT, the American University in Cairo, and the Egypt University of Informatics from September 12 to 14.
The minister highlighted the importance of such events on the role of metaverse in the educational process, noting that the AI is the locomotive of the future and one of the mainstays of the fourth industrial revolution.
He added that the digital transformation is one of the dimensions of the ministry's strategic plan (2024-2029).
He noted that Egypt is one of the few countries that proceeded with the educational process due to Egypt's powerful technological infrastructure.
