Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad said the outcome of the Environmental and Climate Investment Forum - which was held under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi - will be reviewed at the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) due to be held in the UAE.
In statements to MENA on Wednesday, Fouad said the forum - which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Tuesday - was an important event after the convocation of COP27 in Sharm el Sheikh.
The forum underlined that environmental projects are profitable and can secure jobs and improve people's living conditions.
The forum tackled a number of projects in various domains including waste managements, sustainable energy, eco-tourism and bio-based economy.
Meanwhile, she noted that cooperation between Egypt and China focuses mainly on the energy domain, especially in reusing animal and agricultural waste in generating energy.
