Hassan Abdel Jawad - The Ibdaa Foundation, in the Dheisheh camp, in partnership with the Badil Center and the Global Network for Palestinian Refugees and Displaced Persons, organized a women’s agricultural, handicraft and household products bazaar, under the slogan “From the nature of your country, I love you.”
Dozens of women producers from Bethlehem Governorate, and the villages of Bardala, Ain al-Bayda, and Tal al-Himah in the northern Jordan Valley, Jericho Governorate, participated in the bazaar, which was held in the courtyard of the Ibdaa Foundation.
The bazaar witnessed a large turnout from citizens and institutional activities in the Dheisheh camp and the governorate.
The bazaar included a display of many products, including dates, grapes, honey, vegetables, thyme, pickles of all kinds, soap, embroideries, handicrafts, and home decoration products.
Saleh Abu Laban, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ibdaa Foundation, delivered a speech in which he called on official and unofficial institutions to provide support to farmers in the Palestinian countryside and strengthen their steadfastness, especially in the northern Jordan Valley region, which is subject to a fierce settlement attack by the occupation forces and settlers.
Nidal Al-Azza, Director General of the Badil Foundation, stressed the importance of partnership between community institutions, in strengthening the economies of the Palestinian countryside, and empowering male and female farmers, especially in the Jordan Valley region, due to the almost daily settlement attacks on citizens’ agricultural lands
