Egyptian Air Forces are taking part in an international alliance to airdrop tons of relief aid over the Gaza Strip. The alliance includes Jordan, US, France, the Netherlands and Belgium. The move comes in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to boost all regional and international efforts aiming at providing the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip with needed humanitarian assistance. At the same time, Egyptian and Emirati military aircraft conducted a new round of airdrops of tonnes of relief aid, food, and medical supplies over the northern Gaza Strip. Several military transport aircraft from both countries took off from Arish Airport to execute the airdrops as part of an airlift that began few days ago. The aid airdrops is meant to alleviate the severe humanitarian crisis faced by the residents of areas in the strip that are difficult to reach by land transportation.
