ABU DHABI: The United Arab Emirates, represented by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, participated in the fourth meeting of the GCC Mineral Resources Committee, which was held yesterday in Riyadh. The UAE was represented by Khalid Al Hosani, Director of the Geology and Mineral Resources Department at the Ministry, along with mineral resources officials from the GCC countries. The committee discussed a number of topics, including identifying opportunities for integrating mineral industry chains between the GCC countries, developing a map of mineral investments in the region, protecting geological heritage, and reviewing the mining strategies developed by some GCC countries. The committee also discussed a number of other topics on its agenda aimed at developing the mining and mineral resources sector in the GCC countries. Source: Emirates News Agency
