Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union approves emergency item on Palestine

The Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union agreed to submit an emergency item on Palestine on behalf of the Arab Parliamentary Group at the 149th General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), which will take place in Geneva in October. The decision was made during the meeting of the 35th Extraordinary Session of the Executive Committee of the Union, which was held in Cairo on Wednesday at the Arab League headquarters. The meeting also discussed the memorandum of the General Secretariat of the Arab Parliamentary Union on activating its role and the work and activities of its permanent committees, and reviewing its draft work program.
