DOHA: Qatar has once again voiced its commitment to a political solution to the Libyan conflict, aligning with United Nations resolutions to ensure the country’s unity and stability.
According to Libya News Agency, during a meeting in Doha with Stephanie Khoury, the Acting Chief of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Khulaifi underscored Qatar’s unwavering support for a peaceful resolution in Libya. The discussions focused on the most recent developments in Libya and explored ways to strengthen the operations of UNSMIL to achieve enduring peace and stability in the region.
The Qatar News Agency reported that both parties reviewed strategies to bolster the mission’s efforts in Libya. Minister Al-Khulaifi reiterated Qatar’s firm stance on supporting resolutions that uphold Libya’s sovereignty, stability, and unity, adhering to the relevant UN mandates.
