Khartoum: A market near a military camp in Khartoum was struck, resulting in the death of 23 individuals and injuries to over 40 others, officials reported.
According to Oman News Agency, the incident occurred close to a facility operated by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). The Southern Belt emergency room confirmed the casualties in a Facebook post, noting that the injured were transported to three different hospitals for treatment. The ongoing conflict in the region, which escalated significantly in April 2023, has led to tens of thousands of deaths and the displacement of millions.
The situation remains tense in Khartoum as local authorities and international organizations assess the full impact of the recent strike and work on coordinating relief efforts for the affected civilians.
