BEIRUT: In a recent statement, the Islamic Resistance declared that it successfully downed an Israeli Hermes 450 drone. According to National News Agency-Lebanon, the group's statement detailed that the drone was targeted by their air defense units at 12:30 am on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. The Islamic Resistance emphasized the operation was conducted "in support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and their brave and honorable resistance, and in defense of Lebanon and its people." This development comes amid heightened tensions in the region, with frequent confrontations along the Lebanese borders.
