AMMAN: President of Turkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on Tuesday received Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, who conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah and a message highlighting the need for enhanced ties and coordination on regional issues. According to Jordan News Agency, during the meeting, Safadi emphasized King Abdullah's commitment to stopping the Israeli aggression on Gaza, ending the regional escalation, and supporting the Palestinian people's rights to freedom and an independent state. This, he stated, is essential for achieving just peace, security, and stability in the region. President Erdogan reciprocated with greetings to King Abdullah and expressed his interest in bolstering cooperation across various fields and improving bilateral relations. He also supported the continuation of joint efforts to back the Palestinian cause and secure their legitimate rights. The leaders also discussed the necessity to halt aggression against Lebano n, end the Israeli escalations in the West Bank, and stop the violations affecting the historical and legal status of holy sites in occupied Jerusalem. Safadi's visit also included discussions with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, and participation in a panel titled "Global Diplomacy and the Future of Palestine" at the "Future of Palestine" conference.
