Dubai Judicial Institute and Kuwait AMR Explore Enhanced Cooperation in Legal and Medical Fields

DUBAI: The President of Kuwait's Authority for Medical Responsibility, Sheikh Dr. Salman Khalifa Al-Sabah, and the Director General of Dubai Judicial Institute, Dr. Ebtessam Al Badwawi, engaged in discussions on Tuesday aimed at enhancing cooperation in the legal field. The meeting focused on knowledge sharing and collaboration in administrative work, procedures, and medical malpractice issues. According to Kuwait News Agency, the discussions highlighted the importance of exchanging experiences and strengthening cooperation to improve administrative and legal services. The aim is to implement best practices and innovative experiments in judicial development and training processes. Dr. Al Badwawi emphasized the value of such meetings and visits in fostering experience exchange and bolstering cooperation. The Authority for Medical Responsibility, established in 2020 under law 70 of 2020, operates as an independent governmental entity in Kuwait. It focuses on the practice of medicine, allied health professions , patients' rights, and healthcare facilities. The Authority is responsible for providing expert medical opinions on complaints, records, communications, reports, court cases, and lawsuits related to medical errors and professional violations. These responsibilities extend to all healthcare professionals and facilities, whether governmental or private, as well as the managers of these facilities.
