IOF Accused of Genocide Amid Intensified Siege in Northern Gaza

GAZA CITY: The Israeli occupation forces have been accused of committing acts of genocide in the northern Gaza Strip, with ongoing airstrikes, artillery fire, and the decimation of homes leading to widespread displacement and starvation. The situation has been particularly dire in Jabalia camp and Beit Lahia, where schools, shelters, and hospitals have been targeted. According to Oman News Agency, these actions have resulted in hundreds of deaths and injuries over the past 19 days, as a severe blockade restricts the flow of essential supplies such as food, water, fuel, and medicine. Eyewitnesses have described the harrowing conditions, detailing instances of families being separated and children being left without guardians during forced displacements. Witnesses have reported that the Israeli forces evacuated Al Fakhoora school in the Jabalia refugee camp, stripping some civilians of their clothes and directing them towards a checkpoint near the Indonesian Hospital. The whereabouts and conditions of these i ndividuals remain uncertain. The scarcity of resources has forced displaced persons to bury their dead in public streets due to a lack of shrouds, a consequence of the intensified siege. The blockade, coupled with high-intensity bombardment, has exacerbated starvation and a severe shortage of drinking water, as the entry of aid trucks is reportedly being blocked by the Israeli army. Communication has also been severely restricted, with a 19-day cut-off of internet and communications hampering efforts to document the events and communicate with those trapped in the northern Gaza Strip. Reports indicate that more than 42,792 Palestinian civilians have been killed and over 100,412 injured since the onset of what has been described as a genocide by Israeli forces in October 2023.
