Ministry of Information Joins International ISSN Network to Boost Omani Publishing

TUNIS: The Ministry of Information has officially joined the International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) network, marking a significant move during its participation in the ISSN annual meeting held in Tunis. This strategic decision aims to invigorate the publishing sector and elevate Omani cultural identity on a global platform. According to Oman News Agency, the Ministry's membership in the ISSN network will allow Oman to leverage international expertise in the use of the ISSN system, which is pivotal for the marketing and dissemination of the Sultanate's periodical publications. The initiative is expected to foster better integration of Omani publications into the global market, thereby enhancing their visibility and accessibility. The ISSN network's meeting in Tunis addressed various challenges currently confronting publishers, particularly in the digital era.
