Beirut: Three Lebanese soldiers, including an officer, were killed on Thursday during Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon, the Lebanese Army reported. The soldiers were engaged in an evacuation operation for the wounded in Yater, near Bint Jbeil, when the attack occurred. According to Kuwait News Agency, the Lebanese National News Agency reported that the airstrikes targeted a house in the town of Yater, resulting in multiple casualties. The situation escalated when rescue teams attempting to assist the injured were struck again by subsequent airstrikes, injuring two paramedics. The Israeli occupation has been conducting airstrikes across various locations in Lebanon, including the districts of Wadi Sour, Bint Jbeil, Qalawi, Aita al-Shaab, Ramyeh, and the outskirts of Toura and Yater. These attacks have been ongoing since September 23, leading to significant casualties and widespread damage. The Lebanese Army's statement highlighted the dangerous conditions under which rescue operations are being carrie d out in the affected areas. The continued hostilities have raised concerns over the escalating violence and its impact on civilian populations in the region.
