Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Week to Highlight Innovation and Collaboration in Development

Abu dhabi: Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Week, set to take place from October 29 to November 2, 2024, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aims to foster advancements in early childhood development through a series of forums, discussions, and community events. The initiative underscores the importance of innovation and collaboration in enhancing early childhood practices and policies. According to Emirates News Agency, the event will include several key components such as the World Early Childhood Development (WED) Forum, ECD Innovation Day, ECD Research Convening, and The Early Childhood Development Fair. Each event is designed to target different aspects of early childhood development, ranging from research and innovation to community engagement. The WED Forum, scheduled for October 30-31, will serve as a platform for knowledge exchange with over 30 interactive sessions featuring 50 speakers from 20 diverse sectors. Among the notable speakers are H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and other prominent figures from various industries. ECD Innovation Day, occurring on October 29, will focus on introducing emerging technologies and innovative solutions within the sector. Keynote speakers will include Ian Hathaway, Co-Founder of Far Out Ventures, and Todd Yellin, Head of Product at Netflix, who will discuss the intersection of technology and early childhood development. Simultaneously, the ECD Research Convening will take place from October 29-31, aiming to unite over 100 researchers in collaborative workshops intended to drive long-term impact in early childhood science. This gathering will emphasize the importance of scientific research in shaping future ECD strategies. The Early Childhood Development Fair, running from October 31 to November 2 at Umm Al Emarat Park, will provide interactive activities for community engagement, aiming to raise awareness and involvement in early childhood development initiatives. Key partners supporting the weeklong events include Mubadala, ADQ, and Aldar, among others.
