Abu dhabi: Sandooq Al Watan, in collaboration with Aldar Academies, has concluded the second edition of its Mubarmij50 initiative by honoring the winning teams in a ceremony attended by prominent figures, including Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Chairman of Sandooq Al Watan. According to Emirates News Agency, Yasser Al Gergawi, the Director-General of Sandooq Al Watan, awarded 21 teams that emerged victorious from a pool of 634 teams in the competition's final phase. The initiative, launched to empower students from public and private schools across the UAE, focuses on encouraging Emirati youth to explore fields such as coding and robotics. Al Gergawi expressed his satisfaction with the participation of over 1,200 students, teachers, and parents in the final stages of Mubarmij50. He emphasized that the competition paves the way for a new generation to engage in technological advancements, positioning the UAE as a future leader in producing skilled coders and inventors. He explained that the initiative began last year with the establishment of coding clubs in participating schools, involving more than 10,000 students. This participation allowed students to compete in Mubarmij50 and benefit from various courses and programs offered by Sandooq Al Watan in partnership with Al Dar Education. The final competitions were a culmination of efforts, with 1,200 students organized into 634 teams, showcasing their skills to a specialized judging panel. Al Gergawi highlighted the event as a significant milestone in fostering technological talent in the UAE.
