GAZA CITY: The Youth Development Association has stepped up efforts to provide relief to displaced families in the northern Gaza Strip, distributing 1,350 hot and fresh meals in areas severely affected by ongoing conflict. The initiative targeted shelters and population centers in Jabalia al-Balad, al-Jalaa Street, and Abu Iskandar in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, where the humanitarian situation has become increasingly dire. According to Maan News Agency, the distribution is part of a broader campaign by the Youth Development Association to assist those displaced by violent Israeli bombings in the northern governorates. This humanitarian effort aims to meet the immediate needs of affected families, who face an acute shortage of basic necessities. The situation has worsened due to restrictions on the entry of essential supplies such as food, water, and baby formula, raising concerns of a potential humanitarian disaster in the region. The Gaza Strip is currently experiencing a severe humanitarian crisis, e xacerbated by continuous aggression, particularly in the northern areas. This has led to mass displacement, with many seeking refuge in the southern regions where basic needs remain unmet. The destruction of homes, hospitals, and shelters has intensified the plight of the displaced, who lack access to food, clean water, and sanitary materials. The Youth Development Association has been active since the onset of the conflict, launching an international campaign to aid families across Gaza's northern, central, and southern governorates. Over the past year, approximately 2 million people have benefited from the association's services, which include food security initiatives and the distribution of fresh vegetables and water. Nearly 1 million citizens have received water and hygiene assistance, while shelter activities have supported over 264,000 individuals with supplies such as tents, blankets, and clothing.
