ABU DHABI: The Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation (ZayedCHF) and the General Women's Union (GWU), under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, have concluded their participation in the UAE Stands with Lebanon campaign. This initiative aims to support Lebanese women affected by the ongoing crisis in Lebanon. According to Emirates News Agency, the initiative was part of a broader campaign directed by UAE leadership to provide relief to those impacted by the crisis in Lebanon. The effort included preparing and packing essential relief supplies at the GWU headquarters in Abu Dhabi, with the participation of female volunteers from ZayedCHF, GWU, and several government entities in Abu Dhabi. H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the ZayedCHF, expressed gratitude to H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak for her support of the initiative, which aims to provide essential resources to Lebanese women. The effort reflects the UAE's commitment to humanitarian relie f and its dedication to aiding communities affected by crises. The relief items, prepared by employees and volunteers from the GWU, ZayedCHF, and other Abu Dhabi government departments, are set to be urgently delivered to affected women in Lebanon. Dr. Mohammed Atiq Al Falahi, Director General of the ZayedCHF, highlighted the initiative's goal of swiftly assisting tens of thousands of women in Lebanon to alleviate their suffering, acknowledging the efforts of the volunteer teams involved. Noura Al-Suwaidi, Secretary General of the GWU, emphasized the UAE's continued commitment to supporting vulnerable groups affected by conflicts, particularly women and children. This additional contribution to the initiative underscores the UAE's dedication to international solidarity and support for those in need.
