Baalbek: In a deadly series of Israeli enemy airstrikes, 63 civilians, including children, women, and elderly residents, were killed across Baalbek and its villages, with dozens more wounded. Strikes targeted villages from all directions, leaving scenes of devastation. According to National news agency - Lebanon, the dead included one person in Shmistar, two each in Halanieh and Brital, five in Tariya, and six in Bodai, including families. In Hafeer, 12 members of the Nassif family perished, and in nearby Al-Alaq, 16 members of the Kanaan family died in a single strike. Baalbek itself was hit twice, killing six people near the historic Gouraud barracks, with other casualties in Hadath-Baalbek and other villages. Local hospitals, including Dar al-Amal and Baalbek Governmental Hospital, managed the influx of wounded, supported by civil defense, rescue teams, and volunteers who worked through the night, providing care and blood donations for survivors.
