Abu Dhabi: The fourth edition of the 'Make it in the Emirates Forum' is slated to be held from 19-22 May 2025 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), in collaboration with the ADNEC Group. According to Emirates News Agency, this prestigious forum is aimed at significantly boosting the UAE's industrial sector, which contributed AED 205 billion to the national GDP by the end of 2023. The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) will partner with ADNEC Group to spotlight industrial enablers, incentives, investment opportunities, AI innovations, and sustainable manufacturing practices. Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, highlighted the forum's strategic importance, stating that it aligns with the leadership's vision to drive industrial growth and supply chain resilience. He noted that the initiative invites investors and companies to capitalize on the burgeoning opportunities within the UAE's industrial sector. Dr. Al Jaber emphasized the forum 's evolution into a regional and international platform that capitalizes on investment opportunities in smart manufacturing and advanced technologies. The ministry, in collaboration with its partners, is implementing a strategy to enhance the event's leadership both regionally and globally, aiming to attract innovators and emerging industries. Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi, Minister of Culture, expressed pride in the UAE's position as a leader in industry, driven by skilled national talent. He highlighted the cultural and creative industries' significant economic value and the commitment to strengthening these sectors. The event announcement was made during a signing ceremony witnessed by prominent officials, including Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi, and Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi. The partnership was formalized by Omar Al Suwaidi, Under-Secretary of MoIAT, and Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and GCEO of ADNEC Group. A notable feature of this edition w ill be a dedicated pavilion for Emirati handicrafts, showcasing the UAE's local talent and cultural heritage. The forum will also highlight technological advancements in various sectors, reinforcing its focus on innovation and sustainability. Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, emphasized the collaboration with MoIAT in organizing the forum, which strengthens Abu Dhabi's position as a competitive industrial hub. The upcoming forum is expected to unveil international agreements and opportunities worth billions of dirhams, offering diverse job opportunities. The fourth edition will feature the Make in the Emirates Awards, recognizing excellence in the industrial sector across various categories. The Make it in the Emirates Startup Competition will also return, offering startups significant opportunities to develop technologies aligned with the UAE's industrial growth. Through these initiatives, the forum aims to enhance collaboration between local and international investors, fostering the UAE's economic diversification and solidifying its position as a global industrial hub.
