Maaytah Honors PSD’s Athletes for Global Sports Achievements.

Amman: Public Security Directorate (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Obaidallah Maaytah honored several athletes from the PSD on Wednesday, celebrating their achievements and high rankings in various international sports competitions. In his address to the athletes, Maaytah emphasized the PSD's dedication to following the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, aiming to support efforts in securing awards for Jordan and promoting youth achievements across all fields, including sports. According to Jordan News Agency, Maaytah remarked that the PSD serves as a model in fostering Jordanian athletes by creating an environment conducive to excelling in both local and international championships. He highlighted that the act of honoring these athletes reflects the directorate's commitment to its personnel, providing moral support, and fulfilling all logistical and technical requirements in collaboration with sports federations and the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC). Maa ytah further urged the PSD's sports federation and its athletes to maintain their efforts, expressing gratitude for the significant role played by the JOC, led by His Highness Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein. He acknowledged the ongoing cooperation and partnership with the Kingdom's sports federations, which are pivotal in advancing Jordanian sports.
