Beirut: Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, on Wednesday firmly stated during a meeting with visitors that any disruption to the balance within civil, judicial, and military positions, as well as other state institutions, is categorically rejected. Derian also emphasized the need to protect these positions without discrimination to ensure equality in rights. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Grand Mufti particularly highlighted the importance of safeguarding positions relevant to both Christians and Muslims, especially the Sunni community. He urged the relevant state authorities to address any imbalances in order to preserve national interests. Derian added, "Dar al-Fatwa, representing national and Islamic interests, will not tolerate any disruption. We strongly warn against any disregard for our legitimate rights, and we will continue to monitor and protect them."
