Mexico City: Salem Rashed Alowais, UAE Ambassador to the United Mexican States, has met with Sergio Gutiérrez Luna, President of the Chamber of Deputies of Mexico. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing cooperation between the two countries across various fields, to achieve mutual benefits and meet the aspirations of both nations and their peoples. According to Emirates News Agency, Alowais conveyed the greetings of Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), and extended wishes of success to Gutiérrez Luna, along with aspirations for development and prosperity for the people of Mexico. Alowais affirmed the distinct long-standing relations between both countries, which are evident in the successful exchanges of expertise across several sectors, including reinforcing parliamentary cooperation and friendship with the Mexican Chamber of Deputies. For his part, Gutiérrez Luna expressed the Chamber of Deputies' interest in cooperating with the UAE an d their desire to join the Parliamentary Friendship Group.
